Hi, I’m Abigail O’Connor—a fourth-year Journalism and

Pre-Law student at Northeastern University with a passion for

storytelling and advocacy.

My academic journey blends investigative journalism, legal

analysis, and feminist theory, allowing me to explore the i

ntersections of media, law, and social justice.

I’ve had the privilege of contributing to impactful publications

like The Northeastern Political Review and She Can Be Both

Media, where I’ve interviewed inspiring women, crafted compelling stories, and designed engaging content. Whether I’m writing about political reform or managing social media strategies that connect with thousands, I’m driven by the power of words to inform, inspire, and create change.

I recently completed my very first co-op experience, where I worked at Boston City Hall as a “Mayor’s Constituent Advocate” alongside the City’s Community Engagement Cabinet. In my role, I supported the Office of Neighborhood services by engaging with Boston residents and contributing to grassroots outreach initiatives. I drafted community newsletters, promoted city events, and participated in citywide efforts including the State of the City address, neighborhood coffee hours, and large-scale events like the South Boston St. Patrick’s Day Parade!

Beyond academics and work, I thrive on creativity—whether it’s designing layouts, crafting narratives, or curating meaningful experiences for others. I’m excited to continue growing as a storyteller and advocate, making a positive impact in both journalism and law!
